Annabel J, Year 10, Netball

Annie represented Ireland in the U17 netball team at the European qualifiers. The team qualified for Europeans later this year.

Otelia G-D, Year 9

Cross Country

Congratulations to Otelia who was crowned London Schools Junior Champion and has qualified for English Schools Finals next month.

Yasmine L, Year 8

Fencing

Earlier this month, Yasmine represented England in the Marathon Fleuret Challenge in Paris, as a member of the U14 England Fencing squad. The competition is huge, with hundreds of fencers from 40 countries. The level of fencing was extremely high and the experience was invaluable.

Next month, Yasmine is looking forward to representing England again in Madrid, and Putney High at the Public Schools’ Fencing championships. A massive well done!

Gabriella T , Year 7

Netball

On 16 December Gaby and her netball team took part in a competition organised by Pulse called The Road to Copperbox. The team played outstanding netball in the semi-finals, winning against Wodson Park and will play in the match opener at the Copperbox on 20 April before the Team Bath v London Pulse Superleague match.

Congratulations to Gaby who achieved some personal bests and was chosen by Pulse Hub coaches as the player of the games

Izzy M, Lacrosse, Year 12

Huge congratulations to Izzy in Year 12, who has been selected for the England U20 Lacrosse World Cup training squad.

Those selected are vying for a place in the final squad which will take on the rest of the world this summer in Hong Kong.

This is an incredible opportunity and we wish her all the best.

Mr Gough

Cycling
Rowing coach Mr Gough took to his bike and pushed through the night – and Storm Gerrit, with winds gusting up to 50mph – to cover 500km in a single ride.
Alongside eight other riders, he was taking part in the Herne Hill Velodrome Festive 500 Challenge, lapping the track 1112 times in just over 24 hours on 27 and 28 December.
Mr Gough was raising money for two charities: The Connection at St Martin’s and the Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome. He is currently just short of a fundraising target of £2500 – that’s £2 per lap.
