Year 6 pupils have been celebrating the “month of the Francophone world (mois de la francophonie)” (more information here).

The emphasis was to build cultural capital from our diverse French-speaking communities around the world, exploring their culture and customs.

We followed a cross-curricular, pupil-led approach where pupils used their learnt French and applied other subject skills such as learning and acting out a poem, preparing and leading a tea ceremony entirely in French, or designing a girl’s outfit.
