Wellbeing Within celebrates the inclusive wellbeing within our whole school community and within each unique individual belonging to our community. Our annual festival of wellbeing offers an array of wellbeing activities to participate in at break and lunchtime each day.
Activities planned include visits from the staff wellbeing dogs, smoothie bike rides and herbal teas in break-time bubbles, a Gratitude Graffiti table, and ‘Guess the Teacher Wellbeing’ quiz, plus a wealth of digital resources on the Wellbeing Firefly page. The three days will be jam-packed with opportunities to experience wellbeing, raise awareness of mental health, and have fun!
We’ve taken inspiration from positive psychology and the GDST Positive Education programme, exploring how wellbeing is shaped by positive emotions, meaningful relationships, opportunities for optimal experience, and fostered by kindness, gratitude, and accomplishment. A focus on wellbeing within lessons and clubs will be an opportunity for students and staff to see the subjects they study and teach from new perspectives, become curious and find flow, and appreciate the reciprocal nature of learning and wellbeing.
Wellbeing Within Week takes place on the 5-7 May.
