Year 9 student and rising tennis star, Lucy Webber has achieved impressive results in her sport this year. Over Christmas, she participated in a Grade 2 national competition in Nottingham where she made it to the quarter finals of the main draw. As a result, she qualified for the Grade 1 U14 National Tour finals at the National Tennis Centre, as one of the top 16 players nationally in the UK this year. She played extremely well, winning two matches to reach the semi-finals of the tournament, where she lost to the eventual winner. This represents a real achievement, as a Grade 1 tournament is the highest level national tournament in the country.
This summer, Lucy will play an important role in the LTA’s most prestigious event, as a ball girl at the Wimbledon Championships.
