Designed by Putney High School’s sixth former, Naina R in Year 12, with two collaborators from Latymer Upper School and Guildford High School, the Solis Chat Bot was launched yesterday to students at our PIE2 conference, prior to being made available as a free app through the App Store.

SOLIS is aimed at 11-16 year olds to help them understand and tackle subconscious discriminatory mindsets and help them learn inclusive behaviours. With the introduction of SOLIS, the student design team hope to influence and help set younger children up with inclusive values.

The content has been written by the team members with guidance from experts who have moderated the Inequality Quest through Lumi.Network. Lumi aims to support young minds in addressing the global challenges summed up by 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.  https://www.lumi.network/.

“Inequality isn’t taught in a lot of schools. It will never be completely eradicated, but the intention is to make the app accessible to younger generation. Often these subconscious thoughts start from a young age, so the aim is to change young peoples’ mindset so that when they grow-up they don’t have these sort of thoughts.” Naina R
