We were lucky to have Sandra Worth as this week’s PIE at Lunchtime speaker. Sandra is a Quantity Surveyor and Director at Potter Rapier.

Sandra spoke to the students about her role and other careers to consider within the construction industry. She discussed her 34 years of experience, the various routes in to the industry, as well as what it’s like to be a female working in a male dominated profession.

She has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of quantity surveying services over the last 34 years, working primarily in the residential, healthcare and education sectors. She provides financial management and cost control pre-contract on a number of large-scale residential developments for Local Authorities and Housing Associations, whilst providing guidance and support to the team of quantity surveyors in the Beckenham Potter Rapier office. Her experience working for the NHS has given her a valuable insight into understanding projects from a Client perspective.
