Following their English topic on the book, Shackleton’s Journey by William Grill, 6L presented the epic adventure of the Endurance expedition as their class assembly. Each girl took on the role of one of the crew members and shared their learning with parents, staff and other pupils at the amphitheatre.

They were also joined by a special guest, The Hon. Alexandra Shackleton, the late Sir Ernest Shackleton’s granddaughter and President of the James Caird society, who enjoyed the assembly and was pleased to answer all of the girls’ questions about her experiences in Antarctica and beyond.
