Action packed Morocco trip 2022

News, Sixth Form, Trips

Over the half term break, a group of 24 intrepid A Level Geographers headed to Morocco for an action-packed five days. Marrakech was an assault on the senses with a tour of the Medina, haggling for souvenirs the famous souks and soaking up the buzzing night-time atmosphere from the hotel’s roof terrace. The second night was spent camping in the desert after an eventful camel ride during which Mrs Clegg’s camel took a severe disliking to her! This was followed by an incredible couple of days staying in Imlil in the Atlas Mountains where we all enjoyed plenty of traditional mint tea thanks to the wonderful Berber hospitality and beautiful views over the snow-capped mountains. A final full-day hike ensured girls returned home ready for a break. All teachers agreed how wonderful it was to travel with such a positive, mature and intrepid group who maintained their humour throughout.
