The Florence Nightingale Workshop was an educational journey into the past for our for Year 2 pupils. Dressed in Victorian-era attire, everyone took part in a host of activities that brought history brilliantly to life.
The day began with a fascinating interactive session where they met “Florence Nightingale” in character and then went on to a range of crafting activities creating items for hospitals and fundraising purposes, adding a practical dimension to their learning.
Later in the day, everyone took on the role of investigators, exploring lost luggage with “Miss Nightingale,” and then took part in hospital role-play activities.
The workshop was brought to an end with a poignant speech from “Florence,” providing pupils with a glimpse into her remarkable life and legacy.
