The First Tech Scrimmage event on Friday was a success and all members of our superb robotics team enjoyed their time at The American School London (ASL). Our students’ were able to test the robot on the official playing field which consisted of many obstacles and scoring zones. The First Tech UK HQ staff inspected the robots across all schools present on the day and were impressed with both our robot build quality and manoeuvrability on the playing field. There were students’ from a range of schools including St Paul’s Girls’ School, The American School London and Lilian Baylis Technology school.

Students’ were able to collaborate with robotics teams from other schools present on the day and were able to solve a range of problems. These included coding issues and further development of the rotating arm required for lifting and lowering key objects. The regional First Tech UK event is the first major competition which will be held in March 2023.
