Last week Year 7 attended an inspirational talk by Cecilia Crossley about social responsibility in business and the importance of active citizenship. Cecilia Crossley is the founder of ‘From Babies With Love’, an award-winning social enterprise that donates 100% of its profits to orphaned and abandoned children around the world. A chartered accountant with a background in the City and charity finance, Cecilia is half Brazilian; as a child herself she saw children living on the streets of Rio, fuelling her passion for international development and social enterprise.
Over the next two PSHE sessions Year 7 students will be discussing the importance of social responsibility and developing their own ideas about how to be active citizens in their community.
