Niamh takes gold for GB – U19 World Champions Rowers

Niamh C in our departing Year 13 (pictured bottom row right) was selected to represent GB at the World U19 Rowing Championships this summer.

Niamh raced in the JW8+ and after a very dramatic final in Paris on Saturday 5 August, in tough conditions they won gold, becoming the World Champions.

Huge congratulations to Niamh and her team mates on becoming World Champion. She is the first Putney student this century to achieve this as a rower. Niamh goes on to Duke University, USA this autumn on a Rowing Scholarship.
