We are delighted to launch our first Putney High Theatre Company: Monday Masterclass. The masterclass will feature professionals from all aspects of Theatre, TV and Film to run practical workshops.
Our launch Masterclass starts with Putney Alumna Sophie Simnett – Star of Disney’s The Lodge and also starring in the up and coming Netflix series Daybreak.

Sophie began the masterclass with a discussion on what it takes to make it onto the big screen, along with the ups and downs that she experienced and how she overcame each one.
Exploring character development and dynamic was a big topic throughout the class, leading to a session on how to create your own ‘self tape’ for auditions.
Sophie explained why you shouldn’t be embarrassed about how you look on camera.

She also said that you shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help and show your work to others around you, if it helps you to succeed.
