Some of Putney’s Year 10 debaters attended the West London Regional Round for the International Competition for Young Debaters last weekend. Of the 45 teams taking part, only four ‘broke’ to the International Final and two of those four teams were from Putney.  Apolline D and Sana M won the round as a whole, and Ananya G and Bea C were awarded first and third best speaker respectively.

We look forward to the final which will be held in and around the University of Cambridge Union Building.

The International Competition for Young Debaters is one of the biggest competitions in the world for the age group (if not the biggest). Next round our team will be debating schools from America, Canada, India and Europe.
