Inter House Year 9 Mathematics Competition

News, Senior School

On Monday the Mathematics department ran an Inter House Mathematics Competition involving 48 Year 9 students. The competition involved a relay race, cross number and group round. We had the further mathematicians in Year 12 helping out with the marking. The winning team consisted of Sophie, Alice, Sana and Isabella from Hepburn.

Everyone enjoyed our famous Putney Cookie and a juice, and the top three teams received medals presented by the Acting Head, Mrs Armstrong.

The houses came in the order as below:

1. Burton
2. Hepburn
3. Stark
4. Ferrier

All the students had a great time and really enjoyed working in teams solving a variety of problems.
