The Grand Choral Concert took place this week and it was not to be missed. With a choir of over 100 students and parents, and a professional orchestra to accompany them, the standard of music was high indeed.

Sixth Form student Iyla Flanagan’s composition, which she conducted herself, drew huge applause. Iyla is a talented young composer currently studying at the Junior Royal Academy of Music. Her piece Sand on the Wind, is inspired by the red skies and dusting of sand in England, caused by a windstorm in the Sahara desert in late March.
