French & German Debating Competition

Putney’s enthusiasm for both debating and language learning was really in the spotlight when students went to compete against other schools at Ibstock Place on Thursday 25 May.
They enjoyed the challenge of a friendly battle of arguments, all in their favourite foreign languages, and who would have thought that debating in French and German would be so much fun?
Not only did one of Putney’s Year 10 French debating team win the trophy – an incredible achievement given that the competition was so high – but Lilah B in Year 12 acted as judge for the German Year 10 debates.
