Achievements, Debating, General, News, Senior School

Year 7 and 8 debaters competed in the first fixture of the Junior Debating League last week. They returned home with victories in both the prepared and unprepared debates, placing them at the top of their group. Three of the students – Izzy M (Year 8), Jahnvi S (Year 7), and Julia R (Year 7) – were debating competitively for the first time, while three more – Diya S (Year 8), Sophia B (Year 8), and Rubani P (Year 8) – were veterans.
Our older students held their own against the top debating teams in the land at LSE’s Schools Debating Competition placing second in several rounds. They debated topics ranging from feminism and fashion, military intervention in Brazil, and capping the amount of money a parent can spend on their child.”
