Day of Dance at Pineapple Studios

The GDST Day of Dance was designed to give students a glimpse of what it is like to be a part of the dance industry and an opportunity to be taught by some of the top choreographers the U.K. in one of its most famous venues.

On Monday 10 December 2018, six Putney pupils joined with students from other GDST schools to attend the day at Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden and to take part in workshops in Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical Jazz, Musical Theatre and Street dance.

 

 

Thanks in large part to Kira Bishop, Putney’s regular dance teacher of ten years, the day included an opportunity to work with respected professionals from the world of dance.

Some of the big name teachers taking part in the day included, Joel Morris, whose ballet credits include the Nutcracker prince, and recently Mistoffelees in the CATS West End revival, and John Graham, choreographer to Beyoncé, Janet Jackson and the Brit Awards to name a few.
