Baroness Dido Harding Talk Talks!

Events, Guests, News, Past Events, PIE, Senior School

The PIE lunchtime talk today was brought to us by Baroness Diana (Dido) Harding, a Conservative Lifetime Peer, horse racing enthusiast and Putney parent named in the ten most influential women in the BBC Woman’s Hour Power List 2014.

Baroness Harding studied PPE at Oxford University before starting her career at management consultancy firm, McKinsey and subsequently Harvard Business School. She realised early on that she had three ambitions: to run a company, to ride a horse around Aintree, and to get a dog. She entertained us all with the story of how she has now achieved all three, moving from consultancy to the role of Marketing Director of Thomas Cook and famously on to telecommunications company Talk Talk.

“To be brave you need to feel afraid – fear leads to success” Dido Harding.

Thank you for an inspirational talk.
