On the third day the students embarked on a camel trek into the Agafay desert. Mounting the camels provided them with much amusement as the animals lived up to their grumpy reputation. Having survived the slightly uncomfortable journey they set up camp and enjoyed a night under the (cloudy) skies with plenty of highly competitive card games.
On the final day the group ventured into Marrakech for a complete assault on their senses. A tour of the Medina by horse and carriage was followed by a guided tour through the labyrinth of souks. The sites, sounds and smells of the traditional tanneries will not be forgotten quickly. Everyone then spent a few hours haggling furiously for the array of tempting souvenirs in the souks. Finally they made their way through the Jemaa al-Fna square with its snake charmers, monkeys and aromatic barbeques.
Well one to everyone involved for their spirit of adventure. It was a fantastic five days.
