Year 5 Scientists Explore DNA

On Tuesday 14 March 2023, a group of Year 5 scientists were invited to attend a Science Day at the Royal Institution. The day not only involved exploring the famous building, but also examining how a car’s front crumple zone saves lives; they even extracted their own DNA!

The day was capped off by them taking part in the ‘Making a Mess, Scientifically’ show, which involved their teacher narrowly avoiding being gunged.
