Year 9 study ecosystems at Nower Wood

News, Senior School, Trips

Year 9 investigated the management of deciduous woodland ecosystems at the Nower Wood Educational Nature Reserve. They had great fun carrying out the‘muddy hands’ test to find out soil types and investigating the different plants and invertebrates that live in the various levels of our local ecosystem by shaking trees and peering under logs. All excellent data that is being used to write fantastic pieces of coursework that will stretch their geographical skills.
