Year 9 Spanish Exchange

News, Senior School, Trips

Our Year 9 Spanish students spent the week in Totana, enjoying a variety of fantastic cultural experiences with their Spanish host families. These included trips to beautiful local beaches, walks in the mountains, a visit to La Santa Monastery, picnics in the park and lots of paella, tortilla and churros!

At Lorca Castle, students experienced a guided tour and enjoyed wonderful views and sunshine from the top of the tower. The girls then had some free time to go shopping and practise their Spanish in the town of Lorca.

Students also took classes with our partner school, IES Juan de la Cierva where the girls were welcomed by the Headteacher, went to lessons with their exchanges, saw a Spanish film and took part in an Art class.

They have all had wonderful experiences with their host families and have been speaking lots of Spanish.
