Over the first half of the Spring term, the girls in Year 5 have been working hard at their Reading Challenge. Each girl has read a variety of text types and genres, selecting classical stories, newspapers, encyclopaedias and many more to achieve challenges including, ‘read your parent’s favourite book’ and, ‘read a series of books’.

Miss Lucas and Miss Stevenson have loved reading the summaries of each book, which the girls have uploaded to their own blog pages, as well as hearing the girls recommend stories to each other over Teams. Here is a selection of the girls meeting the challenge of ‘reading in an unusual place’!
