Students take on the UKMT Intermediate Challenge

Achievements, General, Senior School

In February, 160 students took part in the UKMT Intermediate challenge.

While normally aimed at students in years 9-11, this year we opened it up to any eager students from years 7 and 8 who wanted to take part.

One year 7 student and three year 8 students successfully got through to the second round, the grey kangaroo. This is a huge achievement and the following students should be commended: Olivia R, Sienna A, Jiwon P. and Juliana L.

Three year 9 students also got through to the grey kangaroo.

4 year 10 and 10 year 11 students got through to the pink kangaroo round.

Four year 10 students were even more successful and qualified for the Hamilton Olympiad. They were Ece K. Isobel N, Laila S and Ghazal EO.

All students completed the second round last week and we eagerly await the results.

Well done to everyone who took part in the challenge.
