2022/2023 has been an incredible year for Putney High School. We have enjoyed another year of sporting triumphs and we very much hope you can join us on Friday 28 April 5-8pm to celebrate the success of our students.

We are excited to announce a new format to this year’s awards. We have assembled a panel of sports personalities who have excelled in their chosen sport. Alongside their success they are passionate advocates for equality and women’s participation in sport and speak regularly on improving participation and balancing a career in sport alongside other professional commitments. Our panelists for this year will be:

• Emma Oakley – Player & captain within the England & Great Britain lacrosse teams with 58 caps for England
• Niamh Cooper – 52 caps for her country, including four starts at this summer’s Netball World Cup. Previously played for the Warriors at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and captained the Under 21 side at the 2013 World Youth Championships
• Mel Wilson – GB rower who competed for the GB rowing team. Olympic silver medalist (Rio games 2016)

The Sports Awards 2023 will start at 5pm with drinks and canapes on the Cromwell Lawn followed by awards, speeches, and a Q&A panel session with our guests.

Tickets are available to Years 8-13 who regularly compete in our sports teams. Parents are warmly invited to attend, and we hope to see as many of you as possible at the event.
