Performing Arts

Sixth Form

Performing Arts play an important part in Sixth Form life both as academic disciplines in their own right and for the creative expression and cultural value they bring to our community.

Drama

Drama is a central part of life in Sixth Form, with the annual musical being a highlight of the school year, featuring productions like SIX or The Addams Family. Students can take the lead in House Drama Festivals, write, produce, or perform in various shows, and participate in acting and writing masterclasses. With theatre trips, a Dance Show, and numerous opportunities to shine, there’s always something to fuel your creativity.

Music

Our programme fosters excellence in performing, composing, and appraising across a broad spectrum of musical disciplines. Students gain a deep understanding of music through the study of diverse works and extensive practical experience, benefiting from state-of-the-art facilities including acoustically engineered practice rooms, a recording studio, and a composition room with the latest tech.

With nearly half of the school participating in choirs, orchestras, chamber and jazz ensembles, rock bands, and music clubs, there’s no shortage of opportunities for students to engage in music-making.

It’s rare that a school fosters such individual creative merit.
