News, Past Events, Senior School, Sixth Form

On Friday 13 November, the Year 12 and 13 Geographers took part in a conference organised by Oxford High School on the theme of What can our generation do to make the economy work for the environment?

Prestigious speakers from UK universities gave a series of lectures on issues that link Economics and Geography with a focus on climate change. Of particular interest was the session on ‘Climate change, glaciers and water in Central Asia’ by Professor Maria Shahgedanova which gave further insight into many of the A level topics.
