From Athletics, Badminton and Cricket to Volleyball, Yoga and Zumba, there is a huge amount on offer. Sport at Putney is inclusive, challenging and fun. Whether you are a complete beginner or an elite athlete, you will have the chance to try something new, develop your skills and enjoy the camaraderie and sense of achievement that participation in sports can bring.

Elite Athlete Programme

Our Elite Athlete Programme supports students performing at county and National level in managing their workload alongside the daily demands of training schedules. Our elite athletes benefit from a designated mentor tracking their progress, with half termly workshops on sports related issues such as nutrition, injury and sports psychology.

Rowing at Putney

With Putney based at the home of The Boat Race, it is little surprise that rowing is integral to school life. Our boathouse sits with a view of Putney Bridge and is the only girls-only school boathouse on the Tideway.

Putney's Sports Grounds

As well as our onsite facilities we use the extensive grounds at Wimbledon Rugby Club, our own boathouse on Putney Embankment, the Roehampton playing fields, Barn Elms, the Wimbledon Club and Wimbledon Athletics Track, a short distance away.
