Putney’s Musicians Hit a High Note

Music is a huge part of life at Putney and never more so than during the Annual Music Festival, the finals of which took place yesterday.

The Performing Arts Centre was full to the brim as the four competing Houses: Burton, Ferrier, Hepburn and Stark took to the stage amid roaring applause to compete in a number of categories including Vocal and Instrumental Solos, Duets, Ensembles, Choirs and A Cappella.

Light relief was provided by the teaching staff with their excellent rendition of Reach for the Starsand the competition was ably adjudicated by Mr Peter White and Mr David Hansell; enormous thanks goes to them both for their judging and their feedback.

Thanks also to the accompanists and all the music department for their hard work and support.
