Putney pupil on CBBC

Blog

Year 7 pupil Iman Hafeez has been selected from 4500 entries to participate in the CBBC Junior Vets On Call series.

Iman, who wants to be an actress, applied via the BBC website for the opportunity, which combines her love of drama with her passion for wildlife. She says: “I
have a dog, four cats, a handsome hamster named El Guapo, and two budgies.”

Iman was excited when she got a call from the show telling her she has been selected and even more excited when she had to make a video explaining why she wanted to be on the Junior Vets show; her acting skills probably helped her made the cut!

In March 2015, Iman spent the day in the countryside taking care of baby and small injured or poorly animals with her cousin; they cared for a baby robin who had
fallen from its nest and a seagull shot in the shoulder.

“It was an exciting, interesting and fun day,”
says Iman.
