Judge Cecelia Knapp, one of the judges and the 2021 Young People’s Laureate for London said,

“I found this poem so original. The concept of exploring two different types of bus journey, one on a weekday and one on a weekend, was so inventive and the way the poet chose to show us this, not just through their brilliant language choices but by how the poem physically appeared on the page was just totally delightful. The bravery and confidence to stick to short lines was so effective. It made the poem punchy, rhythmical and carried us through the whole piece whilst managing to create two very different feelings. A really impressive poem.”
