Today’s PIE at Lunchtime speaker was specialist children’s physiotherapist at St. Mary’s Hospital, and UCL and St. George’s lecturer, Annette Coomer.
She spoke to students about her experiences working with victims of trauma, and shared some trauma case studies from work she has carried out in Rwanda and the UK. This included some of the innovation and adaptations they made to support patients in Rwanda where healthcare resources were scarce.
This talk was an absolute must for Biology, PE and Geography students as well as aspiring Medics, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the talk.
