National Schools’ Regatta 2022

Achievements, News, Rowing, Senior School, Sixth Form, Sports

Last weekend, Putney High School Boat Club raced at National Schools Regatta, the biggest regatta nationally for juniors and the pinnacle of the rowing year (minus Henley).
Years 9-13 were represented in a variety of Octo’s, Eights and Fours.
A great depth of rowing was shown with many crews winning their B finals cementing the clubs places within the top 8 crews in each category nationally.

The highlight of the weekend was the J15 8+ winning gold in their category bringing home the Wycliffe Waterman Trophy (and glory to PHS!). The crew led out the blocks and stormed to victory over Wimbledon, LEH, Latymer, Surbiton and the rest.

Congratulations to the Crew of Isla D, Bridget G, Ani H, Issy M, Xanthe P, Kayla F, Dhanya S and Jemima B, coached by Miss Saunders.

Well done to all girls that represented the club and have now got a taste for national level racing. Bring on the 2022/23 season!
