Congratulations to Nathalie Endemann in Year 6 who was the overall winner of the Wandsworth Young Musician of the Year 2020 and the youngest ever to win the Under 18 category of the prestigious music competition.
Nathalie is 10 years old and such is her love of music that she is always eager to try another instrument. On her 6th birthday, she was given her much longed for piano and then shortly after her 7th birthday, the cornet.
She eventually grew large enough for the trumpet and is also now singing, composing and enjoying learning to play the drums.
This was Nathalie’s first music competition outside of Putney High School and for this, the second round of the competition, she performed a piano piece: Variations on a Theme by Paganini by Isaak Berkovich.
She now has the exciting opportunity to perform at several public concerts including: the Mayor’s Charity Gala Concert, the Wandsworth Young Person of the Year Awards and a short performance before the main concert of the Italian pianist Simone Alessandro Tavoni: A voyage to Italy – Kensington and Chelsea Music Society.
