Landscape Architecture – PIE with an inspirational Alumna

Alumnae, Careers, Guests, News, PIE, Senior School, Sixth Form

PIE at lunchtime today provided a fascinating glimpse into the world of landscape architecture and sustainable design.

Putney Alumna, Charlotte Cottingham (class of 1972) returned to school to tell us about her career in local government in the design, management, science and planning of urban spaces.

Charlotte studied Environmental Sciences at university before going on to study for an M.Phil in Landscape Architecture.

She explained how her role has taken her all over the country, creating and improving spaces and enjoying her work in one of the few “built-in environment” professions where there is relative equality between men and women.
