Everyday Life

Everyday Life

Putney puts pupils in the driving seat, builds confidence and encourages children to be self-starters from day one.
Creativity, energy, and laughter are part of every day. Every child is encouraged to find her passions and strengths and to work hard to develop in the areas that might not come as easily.

Pupils are celebrated for who they are and empowered to discover and grow into who they would like to become.

Settling In

There will be many people on hand to help you and your daughter navigate her first term. All new pupils are allocated a friendly buddy to show them the ropes and help them feel at home. New pupils in Years 1 – 6 also benefit from a settling-in programme led by our Pastoral Deputy Head.

Playtime Pals and a Friendship Bench are some of the Putney initiatives that ensure every pupil has a friend to be with at playtime.

Wraparound Care

Wraparound care is available with lots of activities to occupy Junior pupils before and after school.

Breakfast and after-school clubs are delivered by SuperClubs, the UK’s no.1 for childcare during the school holidays. Wraparound care runs from 7.30am before school and until 6pm after school, offering an exciting range of activities to keep children entertained, with breakfast and snacks included.

During the school holidays, there is a 10% reduction for Putney parents on all summer and specialist science camp bookings at the school.
