We were delighted to welcome Christopher Luscombe, Director of the RSC at Stratford’s recent production ofTwelfth Nightwho came to talk to Sixth Formers who had attended the play at the beginning of term.

Christopher Luscombe, Director of the‘glorious’ (Daily Telegraph) Love’s Labour’s Lost and Much Ado About Nothing (2014 and 2016) has returned to Stratford to tackle Shakespeare’s greatest comedy, a bittersweet account of”the whirligig of time”. The play is the tale of unrequited love– hilarious and heartbreaking in equal measure.

Christopher explained his choice of a late 19th century setting for the play and how it had seemed most relevant to him in view of the subject matter: social heirarchy, love for the wrong gender, bereavement.
