Great success for Year 9 Maths team

Achievements, Celebration, Community, Partnerships, Senior School

On Thursday 11 May, Putney High School entered two teams consisting of three Year 9 students into the Maths Picnic Competition held at our sister GDST school, Brighton High School. The competition involved countdown, dissecting squares, identifying 2D shapes from geometrical clues and a cross number. The team of Florence, Nathalie, and Olivia finished first – dropping only one mark throughout the whole competition! Our second team of Sana, Mae and Inez finished second. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic achievement. A note of appreciation and gratitude to Professor Vijapura for all the superb work he does with the students through Mathletes, and to Miss Yang for her assistance with the trip.
