Gods and Pharaohs – Year 3 in Ancient Egypt
Year 3 were taken back to Ancient Egypt this week, but not before having a very impressive wardrobe change!
Pupils began the day by learning lots of interesting facts about the history and customs of the Ancient Egyptian civilisation, from the important role Gods and Pharaohs played in society, to the mummification of the dead and their entry to the afterlife.
Pupils used their excellent drama skills to re-enact different Ancient Egyptian stories and even created plans for their own Egyptian myths. Finally, after successfully escaping the afterlife escape room, Year 3 were tested on their new knowledge with a very difficult quiz!
Unsurprisingly, the pupils gained full marks and have been looked upon favourably by the Egyptian Gods.
