Each year, Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge runs essay competitions in a variety of subjects, allowing talented students to explore their interests beyond the school curriculum.

Lucia W, Year 12, entered into the Land Economy Essay Competition. Lucia’s essay was based on nudge theory and the full essay title read:  Nudges have been successfully used by governments around the world to influence people’s behaviours’ (Thaler 2008), but will we become immune to such ‘tricks’?

Lucia’s essay has been rated as highly commended and she will collect her award next month.
