Putney High School will be sharing research into a first of a kind study into the benefits of introducing plants and biophilic design into learning environments.
The Biophilic Classroom won a coveted gold medal at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2021, demonstrating how biophilic principles – using natural materials, plants, and images of nature – can positively impact the emotional and cognitive wellbeing of students and staff and help them flourish.
Headmistress Suzie Longstaff and Sustainability Architect, Clare Bowman (RCZM) will together highlight the simple and sustainable improvements that indoor horticulture, natural design principles and external landscaping can bring to any school.
