Putney High School’s Orator in Residence has been working with Junior girls to help them gain confidence as speakers – learning to articulate ideas through presentation and debate from an early age.

The recent Speaking and Listening Gala entitled “Fearless Girls and Phenomenal Women” celebrated the anniversary of the suffragettes with speeches, poetry and presentations on inspirational women. Years 3 and 4 debated whether or not fairytales should be banned and read out their “recipes” for a “phenomenal woman”.
