Elite Sports Round-Up March 2023

Eleanor S - England Netball

Congratulations to Eleanor S (pictured 3rd from left), who was selected for the England Netball squad of 12 to compete in the U17 European Netball championships held in Northern Ireland. The team came away with 4/4 wins and the gold medal!

 

 

 

Matilde C - Italian Lacrosse

Huge congratulations to Matilde C who has just returned from Monte Gordo, Portugal, after representing the Italian national lacrosse Sixes team at senior level in the Euro Lax Sixes Cup. Matilde faced some of the top players in Europe, coming up with some big saves and enjoying the six-a-side format of the game.

Italy faced up against England and Germany in one of the toughest sections in the group stages and came 11th overall in the competition, convincingly winning their final placing game against Portugal 18-8. We are really proud of her international representation and look forward to seeing what the future holds for her with Italy Lacrosse!

Charlotte

Rowing
Year 7

Charlotte has been selected to represent Wandsworth and compete in the indoor rowing competition at the London Youth Games at the Copper Box.

Lola

Tennis
Year 6

Lola was runner-up at the LTA National Tennis Tour event in Sheffield in U11 Singles. She also qualified to play in the Nationals U12 in Corby (the age group above) successfully reaching the last 16.

Annabel

Tennis
Year 10

Annabel H (aged 14) has just won the singles and the doubles titles at the J60 International Tennis Federation tournament in Norway. She did extremely well coming back with her maiden ITF title.
