Putney High School has been expert in educating girls for over 125 years, which means we can draw on a wealth of experience in how girls learn best.

Educational excellence

Our Sixth Form curriculum has been specifically designed to create an environment closer to university level study, encouraging students to adopt the skills they will need to continue their education at the world’s best institutions.

Our seminar style teaching combines academic rigour with the expectation that girls will lead conversation and debate with their teachers and peers, taking responsibility for their own learning to the next level.

World Class Support

Our World Class Universities programme provides bespoke support to each and every student. There are professional training sessions for applications to Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine and Law and a dedicated US Universities Coordinator supports students whose USA destinations have included, Stanford, Yale, Middlebury and University of Southern California, among others.

Future Careers

Voted a "Top Ten London Independent School", our results compete with the very best.

Life in the Sixth Form

Academic pursuit makes up just one proportion of a Sixth Form student’s day. They stretch their mind in class and broaden their horizons outside. They pursue co-curricular activities in a supportive environment, which encourages them to try new things.

At Sixth Form, developing the whole person is essential for application for Higher Education. We want to put you in the best position to develop your skills and demonstrate merit both in and outside the classroom.
