Digital Parenting Workshop

Events, Guests, News, Pastoral, Senior School, Sixth Form

The digital world is a dominant force in the lives of young people, with undoubtedly numerous positives to be found and pitfalls to overcome.

With issues like inappropriate sharing / viewing and digital addiction constantly in the spotlight, we have invited one of the founders of leading online safety organisation Digital Awareness UK, Charlotte Robertson to lead an online safety workshop to help parents feel empowered when it comes to supporting their children in this space.

The event, is for current Putney parents (primarily of Years 6 and 7) though all are welcome.

The evening will cover:

  1. The most popular apps and websites and how they work.
  2. Critical issues for you to be aware of.
  3. What steps you can take to protect your children from online risk.

There will  be plenty of time to have discussions and ask questions about any concerns you may have in the home around online safety.

Some of the school’s IT Team will also be on hand to answer questions about wider school digital matters.
