Choirs for Change

Community, News

This year, Putney High School hosted the first ever ‘Choirs for Change Concert’ in the Performing Arts Centre.

‘Choirs for Change’ is a growing movement led by choirs across the UK. These wonderful choirs, give up their mornings, lunchtimes and evenings to raise funds in support of  Health Poverty Action, who work to strengthen poor and marginalised people in their struggle for health.

Other schools that joined us for the evening were Rutlish School, Twickenham School, Glendower School, Wimbledon Park Primary School and Holland Park. Each school sang beautifully and it was wonderful having an array of ages and musical genres. Performances included traditional Christmas carols, pop, a cappella, Disney and even excerpts from Faure’s Requiem. Together the choirs raised an impressive £638.07- testament to their fantastic performances.
