Charity and Campaign Work – PIE at Lunchtime with Phoebe Codrington

Alumnae, Community, Events, News, PIE

Putney Alumna, Phoebe Codrington joined us for PIE at Lunchtime today to tell us how she became involved with charity and campaign work, and her upcoming trip to Uganda.

Phoebe left Putney in 2017 to study History at Exeter University.

She told us, “Putney gave me the desire to learn and to go out and absorb more”.

Phoebe has been working with the UK based charity, East African Playgrounds which fundraises and builds safe and fun play environments for Ugandan children.

So far, through running a Half Marathon and her “Give Up and Take Up” initiatives, Phoebe has raised £2,000 for the charity and she will be leaving the UK this June to start work on their next playground project.
