Rowing enthusiasts could not have asked for a more perfect vantage point for this year’s Boat Race than the Putney High School GDST Boathouse.

We were delighted to be hosting the parents of the Cambridge Women’s reserve boat, Blondie and had more than one reason to cheer the light blue teams as Putney alumna, Emma Andrews (class of 2016) was returning for another year as part of the Blondie crew. Emma learned to row at Putney and has raced at the Henley Regatta and represented Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse before going to Cambridge.

The light blues were victorious and great fun was had by all.
